icon on Las Vegas, June 20, 2018 – Seaton Curran, a partner with Howard & Howard, will be a speaker at the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Nevada Bar Association. The meeting will be held at Drake Hotel in Chicago on July 12-14, 2018.
Entitled “SCOTUS Loves Intellectual Property,” Curran’s presentation will review the practical implications of important intellectual property decisions handed-down by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2017 and 2018. Curran will discuss these rulings, which affected copyright protections; trademark protection and free speech; patent exhaustion; laches; patent infringement; and venue.
The theme for the Nevada Bar Association’s annual meeting this year is the “Rule of Law.” The phrase has been used widely in the past 12 months and many of the sessions offered will focus the discussion on how the legal profession has shaped the Rule of Law in our country’s history and its role in the future.
