icon on Detroit, MI – June 14, 2023 – Howard & Howard continues to thrive as the firm welcomes three new attorneys, alongside one returning attorney, this month. Honorable Jay Young (Ret.) rejoins the firm; Sarah Billington and Leslie Rosenberg join the firm’s Business & Corporate Practice Group; and Connor Bodin joins the Litigation Practice Group.
Honorable Jay Young (Ret.) is a complex commercial litigation attorney and retired jurist and now works as a full-time neutral. After working as an attorney for nearly thirty years, Jay shifted his focus to serving in the judiciary. He has served as a Hearing Master for the Eighth Judicial Court in Clark County, the Discovery Commissioner for the civil and family divisions, the ADR Commissioner, Short Trial Commissioner, Special Master, and Settlement Judge. Jay is also an adjunct professor at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. He will be returning to the firm’s Las Vegas office.
Sarah Billington focuses her practice on real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and trust and estate planning. She counsels her clients through a variety of matters, including entity formation; acquisition and sale of business through asset and stock transactions; general negotiations, and more. She was graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law with her J.D. Sarah will practice out of the Peoria office.
Leslie Rosenberg is an experienced corporate attorney, primarily working in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract review, and finance. He regularly drafts and negotiates equity and asset purchase agreements, private placement memorandums, subscription agreements, subscription questionnaires, and operating agreements for private placement offerings. Leslie earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. He will be joining the Royal Oak office.
As a litigation attorney, Connor Bodin concentrates his practice on commercial contracts, intellectual property disputes, securities litigation, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and other complex commercial matters. Connor was graduated magna cum laude with his J.D. from William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada. He will practice out of the Las Vegas office.
