Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Cultivating an organization that reflects the clients we serve and the communities in which we work and live.

We are committed to creating a firm that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

As an equal opportunity employer, Howard & Howard will not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), pregnancy, parental status, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, height, weight, disability, or any other protected status. However, our commitment to diversity goes well beyond adhering to anti-discrimination laws.

Our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee leads the Firm’s efforts to pursue its seventh Strongly Held Belief: “We are committed to creating a firm that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.”

As a firm, we are dedicated to fostering a collaborative workplace.  We seek to recruit, promote, and celebrate lawyers and staff from diverse backgrounds. Every person at Howard & Howard offers unique strengths, skills, and competencies, and by respecting and valuing each individual, we work together to provide clients with the best possible representation.  We know that a diverse and inclusive workforce enhances the quality of legal services our teams deliver.

Our commitment to diversity is reflected in our policies and initiatives and, ultimately, in the work environment we foster. In pursuit of our goals the Firm supports a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee that is tasked with establishing policies and structures to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the firm. Through our Community Reinvestment Fund, funded annually by the firm's employees, we invest in organizations that support the same goals. As we grow, we are committed to leading with an open mind and to critically evaluating ourselves as we seek continuous improvements.

We are committed to creating a firm that’s diverse, inclusive and equitable – in fact, it’s one of our strongly held beliefs. The legal profession needs to more fully reflect the communities we serve, and Howard & Howard is dedicated to being part of that movement.
