Secured Unanimous Defense Verdict in $6.6MM Will Contest

Noah Menold and Tim Gronewold successfully defended a complex estate litigation matter in Fulton County, Illinois, securing a complete defense verdict for our client. The case involved the validity of a mother’s last will and testament that left the entirety of the decedent’s estate—with an estimated valued at over $6.6 million—to her youngest son, disinheriting her other four children.

Plaintiffs brought multiple claims, including lack of testamentary capacity, undue influence, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, and financial exploitation. After a week-long jury trial and testimony from 19 witnesses, the jury deliberated for just over an hour before returning a unanimous verdict in favor of our client.

This latest trial victory underscores our firm’s ability to successfully defend complex, high-risk matters. At Howard & Howard, we don’t shy away from the most challenging cases—we’re equipped to handle them, and we’re committed to winning them.
