(GMGI), a Nevada-incorporated developer, licensor, and global operator of online gaming and eCommerce platforms, systems, and gaming content. Howard & Howard represented MeridianBet throughout the deal, from initial contracting to the final closing on April 9. This complex cash and stock transaction is valued at approximately $331 million.
As a leader in multiple markets across Europe, Africa, and Latin America, MeridianBet offers a wide reach in the international gaming industry, lending GMGI access to growing B2C markets. Golden Matrix has been seeking strategic and sustainable growth opportunities, and with the MeridianBet acquisition, GMGI will increase its competitive edge in new markets and resources. The acquisition of MeridianBet is expected to bring substantial and steady growth to the combined entity, creating opportunity for continued development in new markets.
Overall, the sale makes for a combined group of profitable and cash positive companies with enhanced buying power, access to new global markets, additional support of 600 third party casino brands, and over 3.5 million registered consumers in the B2C facing businesses.
