Shabat have joined the firm in its Chicago office, bringing complementary experience in commercial litigation, corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business counseling.
Guy joins the firm after serving in several in-house roles as well as top AmLaw 100 firms. Most recently, he served as Deputy General Counsel for a national wholesale and logistics company. Guy focuses his practice on private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate counseling across a range of industries. Drawing on both law firm and in-house experience, he advises businesses and executives on transactions, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and strategic initiatives. He has also represented clients in negotiating employment and other agreements in the sports, media, and entertainment industries. His transactional experience includes advising on more than 50 venture capital investments over a two-year period.

Shabat is a full-service litigator and trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex business and commercial disputes. She represents clients in matters involving fiduciary duties, business torts, director and officer liability, professional liability, fraudulent and preferential conveyances, trust litigation, and professional responsibility. She prioritizes understanding each client’s business objectives to develop tailored legal strategies that define and pursue meaningful outcomes.

Guy serves on the board of directors of the South Side YMCA, represents his community on a Chicago Public Schools Local School Council, and provides pro bono legal services through Cabrini Green Legal Aid. Shabat serves on the Chicago Congenital Heart Walk Committee in support of The Children’s Heart Foundation.
Guy received his JD in 2016 from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, and Shabat received hers from in 2013 from DePaul University College of Law.
