Early Court Loss for FTC Noncompete Ban Signals States in Charge

On July 3, Judge Ada Brown in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas temporarily paused the FTC's Noncompete until she makes a final ruling on whether the agency acted in its rightful authority when enacting the ban. 

Jim Komie of Howard & Howard spoke with Bloomberg Law on the ban, and the history of noncompetes across the country: 

“This has historically been a matter of state law for years and years."
