Andy is an experienced electrical engineer, having worked in the automotive industry for 10+ years prior to joining Howard & Howard. During his time as an engineer, Andy held the positions of System Safety Engineer, Algorithm Engineer, and Calibration Engineer. Andy managed the Engine Controls Safety Technical Review Board, was the technical lead for client relationships, and conducted testing on different software functions for multiple systems in automotive development.

As an IP intern with the firm, Andy assists the team with various tasks, including patent-related research, patent filing, analyzing patent validity, and completing patent-related projects based on the needs of our clients.

Andy received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, followed by a master’s degree in Global Automotive Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, with an anticipated graduation date in 2025.
