Howard & Howard’s Summer Associate Program is an important part of the Firm's recruitment effort and is designed to provide exceptional law students with a professional experience similar to that of a first-year lawyer.
Throughout their careers, lawyers should be continuously learning. It’s a quality we look for among our summer associate candidates and one we foster in our program. We put summer associates to work—giving them assignments based on their interests and the Firm’s needs, and representative of the matters and tasks they’ll handle after they pass the bar. Each summer associate is matched with a mentor/supervising attorney who provides constructive feedback to help improve their skills.
We encourage summer associates to get to know the lawyers throughout our Firm, not only for guidance on work assignments, but to also get a broader sense of our culture and environment. These relationships with members and associates develop in formal and informal settings such as firm meetings, professional development seminars and workshops, and social events.
Our Summer Associate Program offers a salary of $2,500 per week, payable twice each month.
