Ms. Carpenter is a trial lawyer and litigator in the Firm's Chicago office. Her practice focuses on complex products liability, employment, and commercial litigation matters for national clients across the manufacturing, construction, technology, merchandising, marketing, medical, real estate, intellectual property, and retail industries. She has a unique ability that assists juries in understanding and empathizing with her clients.
While attending law school, Ms. Carpenter externed for the Honorable Jesse G. Reyes of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as well as the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. During this time, she was honored as the first recipient of the Marie Monahan Judicial Externship Scholarship. Ms. Carpenter served as associate barrister of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board and participated in numerous trial advocacy and dispute resolution competitions.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Carpenter served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Represented a plaintiff in a civil rights case resulting in a $1.15MM judgment for our client following a nine-day jury trial.Edit
- Served as trial counsel in a breach of contract construction-related dispute, which resulted in a $500,000 judgment for our client following a five-day bench trial. Edit
- Favorably negotiated a settlement resulting in a Consent Foreclosure Judgment on behalf of a lender. Edit
- Defended three pro bono clients against criminal felony charges and obtained a dismissal order. Edit
Successfully obtained emergency relief in the form of a temporary restraining order against a defendant to prevent it from drawing down on a $7MM letter of credit.Edit
