Sam concentrates his practice in intellectual property law with a focus on patent acquisition, freedom-to-operate, and opinions. He specializes in software and computer-enabled technologies, including surgical systems, robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, extended reality, computer vision, data science, and device connectivity.
He is a counselor who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex patent matters. Sam immerses himself into the technology and views himself as a part of his client's team, executing patent objectives effectively and efficiently to meet client goals.
Sam joined Howard & Howard in 2010 as an intellectual property intern while attending law school in the evenings. Prior to joining Howard & Howard, he acquired over five years of software and electrical engineering experience in the automotive industry.
