James focuses his practice on commercial litigation, professional liability, healthcare, labor and employment, and intellectual property matters. He is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has significant experience in patent and trademark prosecution, as well as enforcing clients’ intellectual property rights in infringement actions.
James also advises and defends employers in employment matters, including discrimination and harassment claims, workplace policies, compliance, and training; represents healthcare providers and facilities in healthcare-related disputes; and represents businesses in complex commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, James practiced at an international law firm, representing clients ranging from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies in intellectual property and civil litigation matters. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Intellectual Property Section and serves as Co-Chair of the Copyright Claims Board Program. James has authored many publications regarding intellectual property and healthcare law, including articles that have been featured in national journals.
