Newly Published Book "Nevada State Court Litigation Checklist" Updates Recent Changes to Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure

Las Vegas, September 19, 2019 – A new book has been published which provides an updated comprehensive checklist to guide counsel and litigants through the perils of preparing a lawsuit for trial.

Entitled Nevada State Court Litigation Checklist, the book was authored by Las Vegas attorney Jay Young. Young is a partner with the Howard & Howard law firm in Las Vegas.

This 3rd edition of the book reflects recent changes to Nevada state court rules of civil procedure, which were comprehensively altered on March 1, 2019. The new rules apply to all civil actions and proceedings pending or filed in Nevada’s district courts.

Also included in the book are the elements of hundreds of claims and defenses, new chapters on alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration), and guidance on preparing witnesses for deposition.

The book has been called an “essential tool” for Nevada litigators.  According to Young, the book was written as resource for attorneys to assist in preparing a matter from client intake to the first day of trial, and contains practice pointers that will profit both novice and experienced attorneys alike.

Young, who has authored eleven books, will soon be publishing a companion checklist for federal civil litigation.

Copies of Nevada State Court Litigation Checklist are available for purchase on Amazon, which has deemed the book a “Hot New Release”:
