Mr. Coppiellie concentrates his practice on intellectual property with a focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
His experience includes working with
inventors and engineers to draft and prosecute patent applications in areas
ranging from chassis and safety to mobility and fleet management for a major automotive
OEM. Recently, Mr. Coppiellie’s experience grew to include evaluating foreign
patent applications for priority filing, and prosecuting in the United States.
Coppiellie received his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law
in 2013. He also earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Michigan in 2017 and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Dayton in 2010. Mr. Coppiellie is licensed to practice in the State of
Michigan and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
