Mr. Goswami concentrates his practice in intellectual property with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution.
He has experience in the
electrical, software, computer, and mechanical arts. In particular, Mr. Goswami
has worked with clients in the consumer electronics, automotive,
telecommunications, financial services, and hospitality spaces. He has
experience preparing utility patent applications domestically and
Mr. Goswami formerly served as a
Patent Extern at the Midwest Regional Office of the United States Patent and
Trademark Office (USPTO). His experience at the USPTO included conducting
patentability searches and preparing office actions. This experience helps him
prepare stronger patents that will make it through the rigorous standards
followed by USPTO examiners.
Prior to pursuing a career in
intellectual property, Mr. Goswami served as Director of Operations for a local
title agency. His experience in this role affords him a high-level
understanding of the inner workings of businesses at the executive level and
the processes they follow to ensure their business is conducted as efficiently
as possible. He also understands the unique challenges of small businesses as
they seek to use limited resources to accomplish a strategic business plan.
Mr. Goswami received his J.D. from Wayne State
University Law School in 2012. He also received both his B.S.B.A. in 2009 and
his B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering, with an additional major certificate in
Computer Engineering in 2017 from Oakland University. Mr. Goswami is licensed
to practice in the state of Michigan and before the USPTO.
