With more than 40 years of experience, L. Steven Platt serves as a leading labor and employment and commercial litigation attorney across the Midwest, working to solve the complex issues businesses face daily. His extensive labor and employment litigation experience includes class action wage and hour litigation and non-compete claims, in addition to defending clients before the National Labor Relations board and in federal court.
Additionally, Mr. Platt routinely advises clients on various labor matters, collective bargaining negotiations and arbitrations, and provides counsel to employers on employment agreements and mandatory arbitration agreements.
Mr. Platt has a diverse litigation background, often representing large publicly held and private corporations in a variety of matters, such as: business to business litigation; non-compete litigation; complex business litigation; commercial construction contractional matters; complex M&A issues; and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Platt has also worked in countless ERISA litigation matters, concentrated in the construction industry.
