I am a business and tax attorney who helps clients develop tax-efficient solutions to a wide range of business problems.

Erick regularly counsels businesses and business owners on the design and implementation of tax-efficient strategies that help achieve a variety of goals, including strategies for forming and structuring the business and its operations; implementing key employee incentives to attract, retain, and reward top talent; and planning for exiting the business.

Erick's work on formation and structuring issues includes advising on the tax implications of choice of entity, ownership structure, and restructuring in anticipation of ownership changes.

He also counsels businesses on how to best align ownership and management through implementation of both equity and non-equity incentive plans, including stock options, restricted stock, profits interests, SARS, and phantom equity.

Erick also helps business owners plan for and implement a variety of strategies, including sales to strategic or financial buyers, management buyouts, and transition of the business through gifting.
