Mr. Reid concentrates his practice in intellectual property law with a focus on U.S. and foreign patent preparation and prosecution.
He has substantial experience preparing and
prosecuting applications in the electrical, mechanical, and software fields. He also prepares trademark applications and
provides trademark advice to clients.
Prior to joining Howard & Howard, Mr.
Reid was the Director of Intellectual Property at a pair of gaming companies that
develop and manufacture bingo, keno, and poker games and game systems. In this position, he oversaw and
significantly expanded the U.S. and international intellectual property
portfolio of the companies. Before
embarking on his legal career, Mr. Reid worked as an electrical engineer at
Intel Corporation where he validated chipsets interfacing with x86 processors. During his 5 years at Intel, he designed and wrote
custom software tests and used hardware test platforms to test the chipset functionality.
Reid received his J.D., magna cum laude, from
the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law in 2007 and
his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University in 1999. He is
licensed to practice in the State of Nevada and before the United States
District Court, District of Nevada and the United States Patent and Trademark
